Spirit of hope, Spirit of healing,
Spirit of reconciliation;
Our world is hurting,
And wracked with uncertainty and conflict.
Come alongside us we pray,
Still our troubled hearts,
And strengthen our commitment to the right and good,
Amidst all that disturbs and perplexes us. AMEN
Other prayers and Resources for Pentecost
Pentecost Sunday is celebrated in the Spring of each year, 7 weeks after Easter Day. Rooted in the Jewish festival of weeks, it is remembered by Christians as the day when the early followers of Jesus experienced a new-found sense of God's power and presence through the Holy Spirit. It is often described as The Birthday of the Church.
If you are organising a Pentecost event, or if you simply want to deepen your own understanding and experience of Pentecost, we hope you find these resources of interest and use.

Yet more profound was what was happening within us,
It was as though God’s very self had taken hold of us...
